Simply put, baptism is an outward display and celebration of your inward decision to trust Christ with your eternity. It’s an act of obedience, a step of acknowledgment that is representative of the fact that Jesus died on the cross, was buried and walked out of the grave, alive, so each of us can have eternal life.
When you step into the water, you are letting the world know that you walked into a new life of faith in Jesus Christ and that you are committing to follow Him down a new path. If you’ve made the decision to follow Jesus, baptism is the next step in your spiritual journey.
The date of our next baptism will be announced at church a few weeks in advance, and this page will be updated with signup information.
Baptism is a very special and personal declaration of faith and it involves understanding what salvation and faith in Jesus Christ is. Because this understanding is something that comes with age and maturity, we do not conduct infant or toddler baptisms. For children of those ages, we do have an annual Child Dedication. You can find more information about that by clicking the button below.
The thing we ask for all parents of young children being baptized is that they ensure that the child understands that they have received salvation and this is the Childs decision to publicly acknowledge their faith. If your child is unable to understand, we recommend waiting until they are older.
