Child dedication is a ceremony undertaken by parents soon after the birth of a child. This is intended to be a public statement by the parents saying that you will train your children in the Christian faith and seek to instill that faith in them. This is also a time for our entire church to come alongside you as parents and help you in your commitment to raise your children up to love Christ. We conduct child dedications for children that are Kindergarten age and below.
We see Biblical examples of this being done in 1 Samuel 1:11 when Hannah, a barren wife, promised to dedicate her child to God if He would give her a son. Another example we look to is found in Luke 2:22 when Mary and Joseph took Jesus to the temple after 40 days to dedicate Him to the Lord.
Our next child dedication will take place in the Spring/Summer of 2025. We will announce it at church and update this page with signups as we get closer to the date.
