Get to know our church.
Here's the deal, Northbend Church cares about one thing more than anything else, Jesus Christ. Northbend Church is a family of individuals that have found hope in Jesus, and simply want as many people as possible to experience that exact same freedom. We believe that a strong community of people builds a strong church. No matter who you are or where you come from, we want you to experience life change with others.
Northbend Church was started by Pastor Jason & Hollie Simpkins in their home. Our original "house church" was located near where the church stands today. What started as something small then grew into several families meeting every week. Back then, these families imagined a church that was truly welcoming to everyone - where everyone had a seat at the table regardless of personal history, family background, ethnicity, or gender. After some time in the house church, Pastor Jason & Hollie stepped out on faith and began building our first church building. Northbend hosted our first service in our new building in February of 2007. After several years in our building we had grown so much that we had to move our Sunday Services to Wahama High School. We had portable church (set up & tear down) every Sunday there for 52 weeks. During that year we built the facility that we have church in today.
What's the bottom line? More than ever, Northbend Church is committed to reaching the community with the message of Jesus Christ. We believe that God is not finished with us yet, and that we are just getting started. And as we move forward as a church, we have plans of expanding our reach into other communities.
